Just wondering whats the most epic site you have seen in a game of 40k (and I mean have seen in real life rather than on the web ).
For me it would be the Apocalypse battle we did for the release :> The huge board (where it was a pain to move units in the middle because you couldn't reach (we had to push units with sticks so only tanks in the middle.). Not to mention all the random armies on the board it was the number of super heavies that was impressive. and yer this changes all the time because I forget who was thier with what although I remember some things that were on the board.
1 Warlord Titan 2 Reverant Titans (small FW eldar ones) 1 Warlock Titan (Armourcast maybe or custom and again eldar) 1 Phantom Titan (same as above) 1-2 Cobra super heavy skimmers 1-2 Scorpions Super heavy skimmers 1-2 Ork Battle Fortresses So many bane blades Got to have been at least 6, chaos and imperial.
Also lots of other vehicles and huge units including fw ones and flyers but it was the super heavies especially the warlord between 4 and 5 foot tall that made it EPIC even in a slightly larger scale .
I'm also 9 men away from 400 Imperial Guard woo h00 and then I guess I'll have to get another 100 so I'll have 500 and then me and another regular who already has 500IG can join togther in a big game with over 1,000 IG and that would be pretty awsome as well especially when the pie plates start landing on our lines XD.
So what cool thing have you seen. (dosen't have to be an apocalypse battle that was just my example.)
We did a game once with my buddy's warhound titan and about 1500 points of terminators against everyone else in our group. About 1000 points of necrons, 500 of eldar, 1000 of Tau and 500 or orcs. All on an 8' by 8' urban board. Once Upon a midnight dreary....
