One of their light walkers carried a weapon of lethal effect. It fired a form of ultra-high velocity projectile. I saw one of our tanks after having been hit by it. There was a small hole punched in either flank - one the projectile's entry point, the other its exit. The tiny monition had passed through the vehicle with such speed that everything within the hull not welded down had been sucked out through the exit hole. Including the crew. We never identified their bodies, for all that remained of them was a read stain upon the ground, extending some twenty metres from the wreck.

Farsight's description in the codex alludes to the idea that the Dawn Blade was an Alpha Legion weapon, prior to the advancement in the Tau Empire.

You don't mean Chaos as in THE Chaos ...you just mean hes not "good" anymore right? Cuz if you mean THE Chaos then i don't remember seeing that anywhere. (Sorry if that was confusing lol)
The fluff says he found the dawn blade on a world that used to be a chaos stronghold and that shortly after that is when he broke with the empire.
The fluff also suggests that there were even older ruins on the planet and that the blade may be necron or old one in origin.

| Yeah, I was pretty sure that was it but was too lazy to lean over and grab my 'dex to double check the spelling.

| Hi.
Sorry, i dont know if this is the right topic, but i have some questions about Tau. First of all, do they sleep like humans? If they sleep, they need similar, or lesser amount of it? | | Back to top | |

| Well I think it says the Space Marines fought the Alpha Legion on that planet.
In response to Tom: I remember reading somewhere that the Tau do need to sleep but do not require as much as humans, only a couple hours a day.
